The Lavender Series | Lavender and Mint Tea
Here is a super simple recipe for a calming and soothing lavender tea. This is great to drink before bed or any time you want to relax and wind down from a hectic day. The flavor of this tea reminds me a bit of Earl Grey.
Ingredients and supplies:
- 1 tsp of lavender buds (culinary grade)
- 1 tsp of fresh or dried mint leaves
- 1 tsp of honey (or to taste)
- Tea strainer
- Boiling hot water
Add the lavender buds and mint leaves to the tea strainer and steep in your favorite mug of boiling hot water for 5-7 minutes. Sweeten with honey. Sip slowly and feel the calm wash over you and watch your worries and concerns take a back seat the newly found peace in your soul–at least for a few minutes!

Lavender and mint tea sounds calming and delicious. I’m growing both so will give it a try.
It really is. I tried growing lavender and failed miserably! Maybe I’ll give it another try next year.
