Take Two: New Look 6774 Khaki Sundress
Here is another version of New Look 6774, using the C+J+L combination. I made this dress specifically for the July 4th holiday. The fabric I used is a khaki linen-like fabric with olive green metallic embroidery I bought from Jo-Ann’s. The pattern sizes seem to run quite large. My usual 12 should have been a 10. As I previously mentioned, the bodice was huge and gaping all over the place, so I added tucks to the bodice and lined them up with the pleats in the straps. It doesn’t look too bad, and almost looks like it’s a part of the design.
My mom and I visited the Sarah P. Duke Gardens today, and she snapped this picture for me. She also wore a dress she made today. I’ll have to get her permission to post the pic. But let me just say, she looked fab!
Well, I hope you all have a great weekend!
