Review | Simplicity 3956 (Ya’ll Ain’t Ready!)

I’ve been slaving away for the past two months sewing these two blouses.
I bought this pattern from Hancock Fabrics. Actually, I bought a similar New Look pattern before that, but bought this one because I liked the sleeve variations; the New Look one is only camisoles.
I cannot lie; I absolutely love my tops. These will be my fun in the summer sun tops. I’m making a chocolate, crushed velvet, fitted jacket (McCall’s 5176 view A) to wear on top when it’s chilly. That way I can wear these camis in the fall too.
Okay, I have to admit…I’m not completely finished with either top. I still have to sew the straps to the bodice and stitch the front closed (to avoid gaping). And I have to fix the zipper flap on the pink top. However, since both tops are essentially completed, I thought I’d show them off anyway.
See my full pattern reviews here.
Cmarie, thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to start on the jacket, but I vowed I would finish my other projects first. 🙂
I saw your reviews on Patternreview and really like both of your tops! The jacket from crushed velvet will really make these tops sing. Can’t wait to see the finished garment!
