Too many ideas, too little focus

I’m a woman of many ideas, and I wear many hats–sometimes too many!

I love to explore, experiment, and try out different things. That’s why I have what seems like a gazillion hobbies and interests, which this blog reflects. And I love it all! My challenge has been finding a way to synergize and bring together all the things I love to do to form a cohesive life strategy and purpose.

To accomplish this goal and gain focus, I hired a life coach. A life coach is a professional consultant, strategist, motivator, and counselor who helps you reach your highest potential in all matters of life, career, and personal well-being.

My decision to hire a life coach was brought on by the need to focus on my career goals and create the life I want to live now and into the future.

I have many ideas and goals for my life that I would like to implement and that I want to achieve, but I didn’t have a clear road map for how to achieve those goals or in what direction I needed to go in in order to be successful.
A life coach can help you target specific goals

You might have goals in your life that you want to achieve, but you have a difficult time strategizing how to get from point A to point E. In my case, I have many ideas and goals for my life that I would like to implement and that I want to achieve, but I didn’t have a clear road map for how to achieve those goals or in what direction I needed to go in in order to be successful. Perhaps by divine destiny, I reconnected with a college friend of mine who has a life/career coaching business. I began to work with her once a week over the course of three months to help create my crafting blog and forthcoming design business website.

The benefits of hiring a career coach

Strategist. One of the benefits of having a life coach is that you have someone who can assess your life and goals objectively and help you devise action steps to chip away at each of those goals and achieve the outcomes that you envision.

Cheerleader. If you’re not in a place in your life where you have a lot of support from friends and family, a life coach will help fill that gap and offer the encouragement and motivation you might be missing from those in your life.

Dream Catcher. A life coach can also help you see the bigger picture. He or she can help you imagine a broader vision for your life that you might have a difficult time seeing at the present moment. He or she would encourage you to dream and uncover those desires long since buried. A good life coach will help you tap into your highest potential and reach the goals you always believe we’re out of your grasp. What is your highest potential?

Having a life coach / career coach was so awesome for me because it really helped me to focus on my goals and visualize how I want to live out the rest of my life.
The “Aha” Moments

Having a life coach / career coach was so awesome for me because it really helped me to focus on my goals and visualize how I want to live out the rest of my life. My sessions with my life coach really helped me to clearly visualize the types of things I love to do which are anything dealing with design, crafting, and dance. She helped me to define my dream customers and how I would go about designing a business that would bring the maximum fulfillment and create income. She walked me through the steps of defining my market defining my customer mirroring down the types of products and services I would offer and really emphasized deadlines so I could measure my progress.

It’s Time to take yourself seriously

I hope the things I shared in this post have been helpful for you. I believe my life purpose is to help people to see their greatest potential and to reach their dreams and goals. I love to see people learn new things and begin to believe in themselves. It brings me joy when friends and family realize, “Hey, I can be successful at this! I can do this!”

My life coach helped me to start having confidence again and envision where I can go in life. I developed the drive to push forward and not let any self doubt or any external forces hold me back.

If you are ready to take the next step to actualizing your life potential, dreams, and goals, I highly recommend Christy Jones, owner of The Coach Chris Company. She’s a great friend and excellent life and career coach!

  1. Such an inspiring post! I too have a lot of things that I love to do and have tried to narrow down a definite path with little luck. Perhaps I should consider a life coach.

    • Hi, Vee! 😀 I’m so glad this post resonated with you. I have to say, having a life coach was a transformative experience. And such a treat. I’m still kind of all over the place with the things I want to accomplish, but just the amount of confidence I gained alone made the experience worth it.
