Thanks for all of your responses on the SWAP and the poll. Here are some projects I’m thinking about working on before I embark on my next SWAP.
1. Finish this UFO from last summer: Simplicy 3867 top
2. I bought this thin black cotton (blend?) fabric from Wal-Mart that I thought would look nice made up as McCall’s 5522 (view B w/o the ruffle). I also bought some blue sheer poly crepe from Wal-Mart I’d like to make into this top as well. I have tried my hand at covering buttons for these blouses.
The black one is finished. I made it in a size 10 with a C-cup. Too big! I had cut the black and blue fabric together, so a couple nights ago, I went back and trimmed the blue pieces to a size 8, still with a C-cup. So far, it’s fitting much better than the black, and I think it will end up being a very cute blouse. I’ll post pics and reviews after the blue blouse is complete.
3. I was going to use the same blue crepe for the Burda 1-2008-125B top. But then I realized that this top calls for a stretch woven fabric, and the blue crepe has zero stretch to it. So what is a girl to do? I guess I’ll be on the look out for some nice stretch woven so I can finally sew up this Burda that has been haunting me for two months!
