Greek Goddess Chic
This isn’t really a review since I’ve made Simplicity 3503 before. The only things I did differently this time around are cutting the bodice at a size 6 and the skirt at a size 8. Also, the dress is completely lined with pink tricot. The fabric is a shimmery pink knit. It is sooo pretty! The dress is not hemmed–yet! But I just wanted to post some pictures since I’ve been talking so much about it.
I’ve got to wear this somewhere. It kind of occurred to me tonight that sewing could be a form of adult dress up! It’s so cool that we seamstresses have the ability to create any kind of look we want. We can fashion ourselves according to our moods. In this dress, I feel elegant and regal. Now I just need a ball to crash! 🙂
Update 10/21/2015: I wore this dress for the first time to an acquaintance’s book release gala last winter. It was so fun to get all dolled up in this dress, even if it was five years after I made it!
Super glamorous! You look spectular.
Great job, Krystal. Love the shimmery fabric in such a lovely shade of pink. 🙂
That color is very nice on you. I just love the back of that dress. Awesome!
That is a beautiful dress and the color is wonderful on you. You look like an African Painting. Very well done.
The dress absolutely beautiful!

Very pretty. Looks Greek. I made my granddaughter a dress up dress out of the same or one that looks a lot like it. It's here on my blog

Just gorgeous! You look so fabulous in that! You should take yourself to dinner and dine "al fresco"! I'm sure you will not leave alone!
Wherever you go, you will knock their socks off in that dress!
That turned out great, and the sparklies in the hair enhance the "godess" effect.
Oh yeah…that's one fabulous dress..and you rock it!
…beautiful sewing!
Girl GORGEOUS! I've made this one before, you are gonna make me pull it out again! lol
Girl you have to find somewhere to go in that number!! Just FABULOUS!
