Fancy Fingerless Gloves
“Under My Thumb Gloves” from Crochet Today (Jan/Feb 2012). These are great for keeping your hands warm in cool conditions. I mainly use them at my desk at work. My department has moved again, for the second time, and where I am seated now, I get not a lick of sunlight. Yeah. And it’s chilly most days. These great little gloves keep my hand toasty while typing on the keyboard. Sometimes look at them and cannot believe I crocheted them myself!
I used Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread, Fashion 3 (super fine) in Copper Mist and a size D/3-3.25mm crochet hook. The pattern was easy to follow, and the flowers worked up rather quickly. The time consuming part is the body of the glove, which was just single and double crochets alternating. This combination creates such an elegant looking fabric. I’m currently working on a second pair in Red Heart’s Stardust Purple.

Beautiful job Krystal! It's a bummer that the pattern is no longer available. I would love to try it!
Oh, thanks for commenting, Tiffany. Yes, it is a beautiful pattern. I suppose if you find the back issue, you can get the pattern, but I don’t think it’s available online. You could try this link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/crochet-today-jan-feb-2012/patterns. Love your website and Pinterest, by the way!
