Can a Woman Have Too Many Purses?
I’ve kind of been on this Amy Butler kick recently and have fallen in love with her Frenchy and Kimberly bags.
I purchased some fabulous fabric from Tonic Living for my very own Frenchy bag.
This fabric will be the exterior.
And this will make up the lining.
I plan on making an exact replica of this Kimberly bag. The fabric was purchased from Fabric.com. The fabric is actually not as vibrant as what you see in the picture, but it’s pretty close. I think this will go nicely with some white capris and an frilly white blouse!
After missing out on Pattern Review’s fitted shirt contest, I entered the handbag contest in hopes of entering the Kimberly bag. However, at this point I’m not sure I will make the deadline for that contest either. We’ll see…
I love handbags too. There are never enough bags for the various things we have to carry! LOL Thank you for the blog nomination!!
nope, I am a huge bag fanatic, that is a cute pattern
Lori, I just read your blog entry, and I’m going to try the Peltex 70-72-70 sandwich. Wish me luck!
You can never have too many purses. Timtex, sorry they aren’t making it right now. Check out this post for information:

After that mishap with my Butterick dress, I decided to take a break from apparel sewing. I’m just burned out! LOL.
The only thing with these Amy Butler bags is that they require all of these different kinds of interfacings and stabilizers. Ever heard of Timtex? Well, Jo-Ann’s doesn’t sell it, so I have to order it from somewhere. I’m almost spending as much $ on the bag’s notions as on the fabric. Hmph!
Cute!! I have both of these and have NOT made them! LOL Maybe seeing yours will inspire me to pull mine out. I also picked up a vogue bag that I want to make lol. So many patterns, so little time! LOL
